A lamington is a delicious, chocolately, coconutty, sponge-cakey, treat. It is also the name of a national park in southern Queensland. The mountains are not made of sponge cake, alas. But they are incredibly good lookin'. And you can buy said treat at the teahouse after your walk (or before, who am I to judge).
We took a little meander one day, pacing ourselves for a long walk (and cake) the following day. Naturally, as Robbie Burns has told us, the best laid schemes o' Mice an' Men, Gang aft agley. In other words, don't bother planning, shit will go wrong.
The van had issues. We couldn't find a decent place to park. It rained. I didn't pack a raincoat or an umbrella or boots. Hari Om! We went for a smaller walk and still had cake. Huzzah! A win by all accounts.
The heart leaf was, naturally, leaf of the day. Proving, even if only through whispers, that love is where you find it.
